- ASU VS BYU Prediction
- BYU upsets another strong PAC-12 team
- Hammer the Under (51.5)
In this week 3 matchup, Arizona State is headed to Provo to take on Brigham Young in a battle of two AP Top 25 teams. #19 ASU (2-0) will look to capitalize on two dominating wins over UNLV and Southern Utah, while #23 BYU (2-0) seeks to capture more magic after upsetting rival foe #21 Utah for the first time since 2009.
This will be a fun matchup as both teams are off to fast starts winning their first two games with each school boasting dual-threat quarterbacks that can change the game with their arms and feet. ASU leads the all-time series against BYU 20-7, however, BYU has won the last two matchups dating back to the 1997-1998 seasons.

ASU vs BYU Prediction: Spread
The Arizona State Sun Devils are looking to go 3-0 to start the season but are coming off of two unimpressive wins against low-level division one teams. The Sun Devils are led by Junior quarterback Jayden Daniels who has completed 73% of his passes for 2 touchdowns and also leads his team in rushing with 165 yards on 19 carries.
The Cougars are also looking for their third win in as many weeks and hope to take out their third PAC-12 school. They are led by quarterback Jarren Hall who has thrown 5 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions. BYU also boasts a solid defense allowing only 16.5 points per game.
This BYU team has been impressive, wreaking havoc on both sides of the ball, and has challenged two straight PAC-12 opponents and got the best of them. Meanwhile, ASU has been more one-dimensional running the ball successfully but not getting much done through the air. The line (ASU -3) is quite surprising to me, with BYU fresh off a win against a ranked PAC-12 opponent. I LOVE BYU at home as the underdog and outright, and I expect this line to change.

ASU vs BYU Prediction: MoneyLine
As mentioned above, BYU has played a strong schedule competing against 2 PAC-12 teams, while ASU has played quite the opposite. It is important to note that ASU is also playing on the road for the first time this season at what should be a packed and rowdy LaVell Edwards Stadium.
The ASU offense and defense are solid, but BYU has now won 12 of their last 13 regular-season games. Herm Edwards will have his Sun Devil squad prepared to take on a tough BYU team, but I don’t think it will be enough. The ML value on a gritty BYU team is too juicy to pass up, take BYU +150

Betting the under can be scary at times, everyone loves offense! But let me assure you, I love this play. Let me throw some numbers at you: 1. The under is 5-0 in the Cougars’ last 5 games 2. The Under is 8-2 in the Sun Devils’ last 8 games. 3. BYU has held opponents to 16.5 points per game this year. 4. ASU has held opponents to 12 points per game this year.
The crowd will be loud, the game will be filled with high pressure and tough decision-making. I expect this game to be a low-scoring gritty affair. Both teams love to establish the run, and the clock will be ticking. In a prime-time pressure-packed matchup, I’m taking the under in this game.
