Super Bowl LV Betting Preview

Cowboys in the Super Bowl?

As a Dallas Cowboys fan, the only real dog I have in this fight will not be on the field or even part of the Super Bowl LV betting preview, but in the broadcast booth. CBS is the official broadcast of Super Bowl LV and with that former Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo will be calling the game.

Ever since being hired by CBS as a commentator, it seems that Romo might be able to predict the future. Romo has done a magnificent job since teaming up with Jim Nantz at predicting play calls before they happen.

In week 12 following the Chiefs 27-24 win down in Tampa Bay, Romo predicted that this would not be the only meeting between these two heavyweight teams.

“There is a better than a good chance, I don’t even know what that percentage is, that these two are going to be here in Tampa [at the Super Bowl],” said Romo.

All-Time Greats Faceoff

Well, Tony, you were right and boy do we have a lot to look forward to with this matchup.

We begin by taking a look at two great position matchups. Not only do we have two generational talents at quarterback in Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady, we cannot forget about the tight end position.

Rob Gronkowski might not be putting up the numbers he did in New England during his prime, but Gronkowski and Travis Kelce are two of the best tight ends to play football.

Of course, Travis Kelce is expected to make a major impact in this game coming off 1,416 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, but let’s not forget about that old Brady to Gronk relationship.

Tampa Bay’s offense is filled with weapons like Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Leonard Fournette. Rob Gronkowski should get some favorable matchups down the middle of the field and could be a major X-factor for the Buccaneers.

Back in week 12, Gronk had his largest receiving game with a season-high of 6 receptions for 106 yards.

How Tampa can stay in the game

The Chiefs starting left tackle Eric Fisher left the game against the Bills with a torn Achilles and will be out for the remainder of the season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did an unbelievable job at creating pressure forcing Aaron Rodgers to have very little time to let plays develop downfield. Green Bay’s starting left tackle did not play against Tampa and Buc’s defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul dominated with two sacks as his counterpart defensive end Shaquille Barrett tallied three sacks.

Tampa Bay’s pass rush is the only reason the Bucs can stay in this game, but ultimately I feel the Chief’s offense is too powerful.

Will Tampa Bay be able to stop the Cheetah?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary has their work cut out for them on Sunday. If the week 12 matchup between the Bucs and Chiefs tells you anything it screams good luck stopping Tyreek Hill.

Hill led all receivers in that game exploding for 13 receptions for 269 yards and three touchdowns. […]
