- Will Kyler Murray continue his quest for MVP?
- Without Tyrod Taylor, can this Texans squad get things done?
- J.J. Watt revenge game?
This season is slipping away from the Texans rather quickly. On the upside, their run defense won’t have to see Jonathan Taylor again. Last week Taylor torched them for 174 yds and two touchdowns on just 26 carries.
But they will see James Conner, who might not be quite as explosive as Taylor, but still put up some respectable numbers last week, rushing for 71 yards on 16 carries. Still, shutting him down has to be a priority.
As for the 6-0 Cardinals, everything seems perfect around the ‘red sea’. That’s what winning will do for you. The Cards have started off the season 6-0 for the first time since 1974 and have done so against some extremely tough opponents, including last week’s tilt with the Browns.

Cardinals vs Texans Prediction: Spread
As big as the spread is, you have to go with the Cardinals. Their offense is firing on all cylinders, with Deandre Hopkins picking up two touchdowns on 55 yards last week, and Murray looked even better throwing four touchdowns last week without getting picked to go along with a 129.0 passer rating. All of this without his head coach/play-caller.
A.J Green has made a resurgence this season, offering Murray another solid target. Last week the ex-Bengal was targeted six times, recording five receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown. If you are uncomfortable betting a spread this large, fair enough; regardless, this is an easy pick.

Cardinals vs Texans Prediction: MoneyLine
As I stated above, the Cardinals should be taken on Moneyline for many similar reasons regardless of the terrible value. Last week Texans starting quarterback Davis Mills had a rough go of things, throwing two interceptions and only getting 5.7 YPA, to go along with a 62.5 QBR.
Another card stacked up against this Texans team is their offensive line troubles. Last week they allowed two sacks and five quarterback hits against a very pedestrian Colts defensive front. And the Cardinals are a team that gets to the quarterback often. Last week they compiled five sacks and six quarterback hits, not to mention J.J Watt will have a little added motivation for this one.

Cardinals vs Texans Prediction: Total
Both defenses have had their struggles but are still pretty good, especially the Cardinal’s secondary. So far this season, they have held quarterbacks to an 85.3 QBR (5th) and a measly 6.9 YPA (t7th).
That, mixed with the struggles the Texans have had offensively, leads me to believe this game will likely stay under. The Cardinals will get up big early and take their foot off the gas a bit.

- First touchdown scorer Kyler Murray (+650)
Kyler Murray’s first touchdown scorer seems like a homerun pick here. It’s great value, and considering the Texan’s woes when it comes to stopping the run game, this is a good pick.
